I swear the way some amplify the negative only while ignoring the many inspiring stories of successful Somalis from MN is sickening. My people are always looking for ways to score points against each other; qabil vs qabil, men vs women, diaspora X vs diaspora Y.

your not lying I think it is only us who do this, individuals problems or crimes are attached to entire ethnic group.
Exactly uk Somalis are way worse in terms of crime and gangs
This is my point.
This is not a competition. Most Somalis whether in the UK or the US are law abiding citizens with normal lives.
I say this as someone who grew up in a large and strong Somali community in the UK. So many of our youth are excelling and for those who aren’t, I genuinely make dua for them. They’re our people after all.
We have too many enemies and we shouldn’t pit our diasporas against each other. Especially not online and in English.
Lets keep the kaftan and diaspora wars to private group chats or family groups.

I don’t know why our people find it so difficult to comment on a story without mentioning ethnicity or turning everything into FKD/diaspora/gender wars.
