Here is a video talking about the causes of this so-called youth crisis amongst Somali MN:
MN Somali youth drama/issues/virality has been expeditiously on the rise along with 'hood culture' tendencies. Now I know this isn't all and the good are outstanding, but the bad have the ability to suck in the avg Somali youth unfortunately.
For MN Somalis (other fellow Americans chime in also), is our MN youth in trouble with their reputation on the floor and moving ever closer towards ghetto-isation, or is this an exaggeration and there isn't a fundamental issue at hand? Do you see yourself raising your kids in MN?
I still stand by the statement: 'MN Somalis are the best diaspora, what an ostracised adolescent group do doesn't diminish all the work that the community has done in such a short space of time'. However speaking with more and more MN Somalis, it seems that it is getting rapidly worse there for youth.
Is it best to move to a rural town within MN and to abandon Minneapolis? Is dhaqan celis needed?
