Only 25 years from now seems like a reasonable population projection considering Somali growth rates
Yup never happening for a variety of reasons mainly due to projections being unreliable that far out and also with the high level of urbanization the fertility rate will collapse across urban centres across Somalia like we’ve seen with Djibouti
I think the population of Mogadishu will probably peak at 10-15 million anything more than that and cities usually become unmanageableYup never happening for a variety of reasons mainly due to projections being unreliable that far out and also with the high level of urbanization the fertility rate will collapse across urban centres across Somalia like we’ve seen with Djibouti
I agree 10-12 million peak most likely however the government needs to incentivize lower levels of urbanizationI think the population of Mogadishu will probably peak at 10-15 million anything more than that and cities usually become unmanageable
That’s NYC levels I couldn’t imagine all those Somalis in one place7-10 million is ideal. I support anything that will push up the real estate prices of the city.
As long as there is an efficient waste management system, urban planning and sewage system, xaalada should be okay. That’s NYC levels I couldn’t imagine all those Somalis in one placeseriously I’d think it’s better if jowhar baydhabo etc absorb some of that growth
If we had lacag they could have started small commuter belt towns linking Muqdisho. Somalia has enough land to start New towns. Some tuulos can be developed as well. That’s NYC levels I couldn’t imagine all those Somalis in one place
seriously I’d think it’s better if jowhar baydhabo etc absorb some of that growth in the future
