EU is a supranational entity which means the laws at EU level supersede the laws of the member states of the EU. EU regulates the interest rates, budgets, finance, and the immigration. It basically means it's a one big country. Which means if you're a national citizen of one of the member states in the EU, you can move to other EU countries, just like its possible to move from London to Birmingham. It also means that if you're foreigner, you're entitled to the same rights as the natives. A polish gypsy from Poland living in London has the same rights as a born and bred Londoner. EU also has one internal market which means we don't pay tariffs to each other when companies do businesses with each other across EU. A Belgian company importing goods from Czech Republic does not have to pay import tax/tariffs. This is called freedom of movement of goods and people. This is the thing that frustrated the the British and led to Brexit: Britian exiting EU

UK wants to leave the EU, however they still want to have access to our internal market. If you leave the internal market you have to pay the full tariffs. It's like China importing stuff.

The PMs resign because they fail to make a deal with the EU. Their parliament is a mess too, they reject every deal with the EU, but they also rejected to leave the EU without a deal.

If I’m not mistaken most of our imports are services not goods. Also this could mean we could put up trade barriers on other countries. Like the Chinese who dump their steel in UK waters, this may be beneficial to some industries but obviously could be detrimental to those who rely on the exportation of goods.

A lot of foreign investors are also investing in British firms as the pound has gone weaker. This is their best chance to do so.
