walaalo, i sense some insecurity. you cant get mad at the representation and not the reality. somalia is plagued with many issues, and hopefully reporting on it increases so ajnabis can see what we as somalis have normalised for so long, which is incompetency, instability to the highest degree.

It's the truth. Covid-19 cases are grossly under reported in Somalia. There is systemic undercounting of deaths, this may seem like a good idea to manage public perceptions in the short run, but it is going to cost in the long term.

Somalia reported 93 death cases as of July 28th, 2020 which is laughable. The virus should be reported, traced and contained to control its impact on the population. Hiding actual numbers and data will only cost more lives.

Western media is notorious for showing the negative aspects of africa portraying it as a hopeless place, where theres no one making a difference, according to them bombs are going of dail, and people only live and breath poverty and misery. While there are so many problems it just simply isnt true there are many positive stories. For example he could've made a story out of the many hero doctors and nursers working so hard to battle covid in somalia despite the obstacles, rather than just focusing on the negativity I've seen many documentaries by this guy, and he goes out of his way to showcase the worst of the place!
