My war against Dahabshiil and Amal Express

They lie about exchange rates.

I brought in US currency yesterday so I wouldn't have to deal with their scams and they told me we don't accept US currency. I had to use Canadian so they can then change it to US currency.

I got the bank to initially change the currency and was given the rate after markets closed. Suddenly Dahabshiil has a totally different one.

6% + extra $10.

Stay away from Dahabshiil. Stay away from Amal Express.

I had to use these scam artists because World Remit was giving me issues.

Use World Remit or Western Union.

I don't use dahabshiil. I use tawakal express and I only pay the amount I'm sending because my uncle owns the branch I use. I also use my bank account to send money to my cousins in Pakistan.

I only send to my siblings and my favorite cousin for school

Everyone else gets ignored. One of my cousins told my other cousin I complained about his chronic unemployment and his khat addiction and he never called me again. We're beefing. Good.

Digital currency will allow people to circumvent the banking system and allow peer-2-peer transfers without any fees. We haven't had people self-less enough to create the system yet.

I forgot to add that Amal and Dahabshiil are fast losing out because of their late entry to the mobile based money transfer system. I don't see Dahabshiil surviving much longer as a transfer company which is why the owner is trying to diversify as much as possible due to competition from the south. Jim'ale of Al-Barakaat was taken off the terror list, he invested in the mobile system causing Dahabshiil branches all over the world to close or change their business to his.

We are living in a globalized world with advance technology but its hard to send money through mobile/mobile banking.

I can only send money to my fellow Canadians instantly through e-interac transfers. The fee is only $1 so I don't mind.

Somalia has no banking system but what's the excuse of the West? How come I have to go to money transfer places to send money to Euorpe? Or am I the one who doesn't know how to do it through mobile?
