Native word for Somalia

Somalia = Italian origin.
The suffix -ia came from Italian.

Somaliland = British origin
The suffix -land came from English.

So what is a native name to describe the country of Somalis. Somaliweyn bit too much.

It's also why I prefer if states in Somalia like Puntland ect. Just left out the land part it sounds so wrong in Somalia. Just say Punt or smth kkkkk

We should have claimed to be successor state to Adal as to legitmaize a claim to the Ethiopian highlands region. Also Adalites from the Republic of Adal sounds way better than Somalis from Somalia.
