It is named after the technical school built in the area by Germany (during former Somalia government era) hence xafaada Jarmaalka. It consists of around 4 large buildings that are similar.

West Burco is a geographic name for all those neighborhoods combined. In back home it is called Soukhal Galbeed which means the west side.
