Even the myth of kacaan constructing roads is another famous lie. Kacaan did nothing for us only brought us death and destruction. Do not let these qabiilist scum lie to you about glorify the horrible kacaan

Economically we were getting outpaced by neighbors even back then

The main reason for our failure as Somalis is that we lie to ourselves too much. These glory years people are dreaming about were horrible. In fact it was only glory years for certain families from certain clans who looted all the money. The original mooryans they looted homes and money.

yes im well arweare of how bad he ran the economy

Our economy was shit thanks to him and if you look at his social practices he took qabiilism to a level never seen before. The fact Failmaajo is president is one of the last remaining examples of MSB qabiilist corruption. Failmaajo was working in the Somalia Embassy in DC in the 80s with no qualification other than being Marehan

it was the glory days if you lived in mogadishu, the only place siad barre made sure was developed and nice to look at. a benevolent kacan on the other hand would be amazing for somalia. if it starts with a president who does great for the country and then develops into it after refusing to leave office it could work. like a xarmaajo but if people liked him

The only thing added to Mogadishu during kacaan was the Football Stadium built by the Chinese. Oh and haram statues were added during kacaan time period as well also night clubs and hotels openly serving alcohol

when i say "made sure" i mean its the place all his attention was focused on. im not saying he built up mogadishu. other places in somalia were neglected while mogadishu continued to grow

Kacaan isn't coming back. We need solutions for our generation. Somalis are stuck in a time loop. Pretty boring I must say.

Siad hindered the growth of Mogadishu and everywhere else really. He was a pretty incompetent leader all the way around. 70s and 80s were a crucial time for us but we had a dumb leader who lead us down the darkest path and Not the path of development. It’s hard to say Mogadishu developed further under Siad when all that was added was simply a stadium to play football. The national theatre predated Siad. A lot of the beach activity obviously predated him too. Roads and all of that were already there. One thing that helped was the road built by the Chinese from Mogadishu to Afgooye but that deal was negotiated by the previous government Siad stole power from, he simply allowed the project to continue.

Look at Berbera for example. At the time he sold it to the Soviets in exchange for military assistance and development assistance almost no development came from that not even in Berbera.

The guy was a shit negotiator and only cared about looting as much money as he could for personal gain.

This is as simple as it gets. The Kacaan had its time in history and achieved many great things that will forever remain in the history books. This sort of topic has been made many times in the last few decades and all Somalis I've spoken to reminisce about the blessed Kacaan.

The situations Somalis faced after the foreign backed rebel groups destroyed our government is also clear for all to see and will be written in the history books. These events do nothing but vindicate the Kacaan and any objective person can see that clearly.

Having said that new solutions are needed to break the chain of backwardness and that starts with educating people about the benefits of having a strong government/state and the progress long term stability can bring. These are fundamental notions for moving forward and ensuring no foreign adversaries are able to take advantage of groups within the country.
