New commander of US Africom meets with Somali Defence Minister as Somalia assumes full responsibility for protecting the Somali people from terrorism

The two sides have agreed to strengthen the power of the national army and the war against Al-Shabaab group.

The meeting was taken part by the American ambassador for Somalia, the commander of the infantry army, the director general of the ministry of defence and advisors from the offices of the president and the prime minister.
