These "luxury" homes seem to be only targeted to the diaspora. I know a decent amount of our parents plan on moving back soon but do the governments back home actually expect a decent amount of skilled diaspora to be returning to the country anytime soon??

There are already diasporans who moved back to Puntland. I definitely see diasporans, buying retirement homes in this gated neighbourhood. I look forward to seeing the project finalised, ilaahay ha ku guuleeyo.

Most Somalis fit the demographic of social housing, if there’s jobs to accommodate them, it should be fine. Either way PL is incredible for the undertaking.

What, now they’re saying 2030? This project’s completion date keeps getting pushed back….I’d love to see what they’ve completed to this point, because I’ve been trying to follow but keep getting conflicting info.

There's no incentive for skilled diaspora to return. I am voting right wing to stop these economic migrants to getting into the West and staying in their own countries. We need to help those already here not those looking for an easy ride.
