Whenever I see new military graduates, I just think about how they receive their salary automatically into their bank accounts every monthly, they then use that money to provide for their families. This is the stability I like to see.
As for the numbers of troops that have been trained so far, Somalis don't say "Intii Madax Madoow iyo Majeerteen baa siman" for no reason, add on the other Puntites and we have a formidable army forming.
Ya Allah! I don't mean to ask for much, but please consider my duah of turning Puntland into its own Island Nation.

Part of them are Boocame police officers. But If you listen how he describle units that taking training. It seems new units added to PL defence force.
At the end we want our army to be like used to be in 2004 if not better

Excatly, we need educated officers, old soldiers should retire.
Or they should take desk jobs like answering phone calls, train young recruits etc.
Its option, but we need them for tactics in wars. They will learn and understand faster then old ones.

@Pwyneth Galtrow @FBIsomalia @Manzana It's good to see our military is training our soldiers into other important aspects of war such as medical, mechanics, anti-terror. What we need the most is our soldiers studying from previous wars and where we can improve, what failed, and lessons learned and then do war scenarios, war games at the base. This will limit our casualty rate.
We need to split our army into 'two opposing sides' and re-do the war theater and scenario like what they experience in the battle field and our general and colonels should study where the holes are in the enemy and turn that into an opportunity to win the war. Even I will join PL war if they start fighting based on intelligence not 'emotions'.
We should ensure all our general-colonel-commanders of unit are equipped with military grade communications equipments to instruct the infantry below, we should ensure each squad is trained in different aspects of the battle field such as treating and carrying of the wounded, cooking the food and providing water supplies, one squad should focus on re-supply of fuel to vehicles from the 'oil transporter', we shud ensure we have an 'rpg anti-tank squad' and we must train them to target the large vehicles of the enemy, we must ensure our snipers squad r sent to kill the commanders of the enemy to disband the lower soldiers.
As we push forward on the enemy we must burn their vehicles not 'capture' it, so in the event of peace talks they're is no handing back any weaponry and the loss is on their side. I cringe when Somalis capture other army weapons, that will be handed back in peace talks looooooool.
PL shud adopt a war style of fighting the enemy on their 'turf' not our 'turf' this will limit our collateral damage. I have so much advice for our armed forces, I will speak to them when I visit Puntland.

Our Generals-Colonels-Commanders need to read the sun tzu art of war, alexander the great, modern warfare books and pick out the best strategy to defeat our enemy after we have performed an 'extensive study of the enemy weak points and their style of fighting'.
The General-Colonels-Commanders must be held responsible if the casualty is high on our side and the only reason for high casualties is they haven't performed a proper war analysis before going to war. Every puntite lost in battle, we must study what caused it and to cover that weakness in future expeditions not just repeat the same war style and continously losing people to it.
When you see a high death toll or 'strategic' losses like commanders or important armoury, the reason is simple, it's down to a lack of war knowledge and the commanders-colonels-general should be demoted immediately for their horrendous performance or else they will continously cost us loss of life.

The OG, Colonel Ayan Abdulahi Yusuf- she was trained before the civil war for 3 years and was in Somalia's Heavy Artillery Unit. During the civil war, she moved back to her ancestral land and joined Puntland's Army. She's now a Colonel in Puntland.

I don't think they are related, I think the name is just a coincidence.
I think the Police needs a special unit whose only job is to ensure people are well-behaved.
A "halal compliance" unit.
1. Something needs to be done about the begging mafia on our streets. I'm not talking about genuinely poor people, I am talking about the begging syndicate who own land, houses and other assets in their own regions- far away from Puntland. They need to be arrested and rehabilitated until they learn it is haram and ceeb to scam people.
2. I also think they need to shut shops down during prayer time and make sure people are running their shops fairly etc.
