If they work with FGS they can list it as an export to other countries. Pakistan, Nepal, and many African countries export salt.I don't understand how they going to Make money selling salt
Yea but all the over head cost in Somalia is paid in US DollarsIf they work with FGS they can list it as an export to other countries. Pakistan, Nepal, and many African countries export salt.
Damn RSF. They set us back by getting in the way of the new Somali currency. The bills looked nice too.Yea but all the over head cost in Somalia is paid in US Dollars
It is very hard to compete with other nations that use their own shilling
I believe manufacturing in Somalia is doomed to fail due to regulatory uncertainty against imports, infrastructure deficits raising costs, and limited specialization in high-demand products. However, with this salt factory, one thing I know for sure is Somalis' merchants are money-savvy and do not invest a lot of money in salt without securing a buyer. They may have corrupted some bureaucrats at a port in Turkey or another country to smuggle their salt in, or something of the sort.Damn RSF. They set us back by getting in the way of the new Somali currency. The bills looked nice too.
