I think you are giving him more credit than he is worth. All these conflicts are erupting 'cos of the vacuum in his wake due to his incompetence. All he did was stir the pot, grew a beard, borrowed a sling to nurse a fake broken arm as he begun to roam in foreign cities with a begging bowl, and slung his hook on a plane before one could say his name.
