The US would probably nuke Pyonyang in response. I am fairly sure that the US has a Massive Retaliation policy in case countries like Iran or North Korea sink an aircraft carrier. The US will probably nuke Tehran or Pyongyang in response. The US has repeatdly refused to adopt NFU as a policy, arguing that it reserved the right to respond with nuclear weapons to any large scale conventional attack.
