Galmudug was always going to have this division. The Mogadishu and Jubaland oriented Dhusomareeb & Caabudwaq vs the more locally focused Galkacyo & Cadaado.

The Sacad and Salebaan understand that they can gain tremendously from federalism. On the other hand, the Mudug Marehan and Ceyr care much more about what is going in the south than in Galmudug. Xaaf is too weak to bring either camp to heel. Galmudug has no cohesion to speak of, it is even less cohesive than Hirshabelle and Jubaland.

Galmudug problem is just politics and its more cohesive than Jubbaland. The federal state with the most disunity and fragmented is Jubaland. A wasir from Kismayo got stoned in Garbahareey while Carabeey is touring Cadaado like this. Caabudwaaq is behind Carabeey, Cadaado is too.
