Ethiopia have already upgraded their diplomatic mission to a full ambassador since 2022, the only country with such ties with SL.
That is True and the failed State of Somalia said nothing about it. I am hearing the the Somalian Parliament is having an emergency meeting tomorrow to discuss the new reality. All this could have been avoided if Somalia recognized Somaliland first but Somalis are so xaasid, they will never compromised. This is the result of it.
What is isn't going to happen is Galmudug being free from Al-shabab. Build a functioning mammal goboleed first then let's talk.

I think the political status-quo didn't change which is why FGS didn't make such a fuss about it, but also how compromised the Somalia is/was at the time. But this agreement will have bigger ramifications.
Previously, FGS would only not 'interfere' in SL as they wanted their differences to be solved in an amicable way at some point in the future. While SL had relations with foreign nations, it was mostly related to trade.
But this time around, it will definitely not end here, even if Ethiopia were to officially recognize SL. I predict that FGS to be more direct and confrontational towards SL from now onwards. Let's see what the cabinet meeting results in.

There is no doubt Hassan sheikh is aware of this agreement. Seeing as him and Muse Bixi just met very recently.
I dont think so there is an emergency meeting being held tomorrow I think it's more like muse bixi playing everyone.

I saw a tweet earlier (before it became public) that predicted some parts of the agreement. It seems like Abiy and Muuse had coordinated this agreement at an earlier date and this occasion was mainly meant for them to offically sign the papers and discuss details.

It's a bit odd how immediately after the meeting HSM and muse Bixi had then this meeting happened. To me it gives me the feeling that HSM is involved.

Not sure. I have a hard time thinking that this would be possibly without approval from FGS, or at least noticed them beforehand. But Ethiopia is unpredictable as well. I'll see what HSM/FGS has to say and then make a judgement.
Your not going to get recognized ethiopia recognizing your independence will open a can of worms for ethiopia when they have their own secessionist and are hanging on by a thread.
Ethiopia won't go against the agreed upon concensus of leaving boarders the way they are because not only would this cause issues within their own land, but other successionist ideas across Africa would feel emboldened. The international community doesn't want to deal with that issue.
