Yemen does have oil a lot of people forget that and it's not a bad amount it's around 3 billion.

Yes Yemen has oil but it is tiny amounts. Gaajo runs through that country. Likewise Somaliland and Puntland doesn't have oil.

Somalia's real and verified oil is in Galmudug coast. We are talking about billions here but would take at-least 200 million invest to take it out.

Given our relatively small population, huge diaspora professionals and business savvy people, enormous amount of land, there's no reason why we shouldn't be the wealthiest nation in our lifetime brother :)
Anything can happen, you just gotta make it happen. Which is much easier said than done. In one of my scholarship essays, they asked me to write a 10 year plan, and writing it made me realize how much of a potential somalia has to grow in the next ten years.

I ended up actually writing a beautiful essay and I genuinely believe I can get all those things done in 10 years, just watch out, you're about to see big moves.

If there's oil in Socotra then I wish my Socotran neighbors nothing but prosperity.

However if UAE thinks it could take it over then we'll need to take custody of the islands to ensure Socotra's sovereignty...:gaasdrink:

An Island can not have oil only a mainland can have oil. If they drill in that island right now they'll hit ocean water. You have to go very deep for oil which makes it very unlikely for that happen.
An island is basically formed by a hot volcano lava touching ocean water cooling down becoming a rock and then sitting on the sea bed. It continues and stacks up until it becomes an island.
