I believe the west considers Ethiopia a liability that is no longer worth the financial or political investments that kept them relevant. And being pro China did not helps its case.

The arrival of Egypt in our geopolitical region that once was dominated by Ethiopia is proof enough for me.

From what I have gathered our time has come and insha Allah we shall cherish it.
