Somalia back then was basically oriented/ focused in xamar and the south, the northern regions were neglected, no one knew if the north was oil rich and exploration wasn’t done there.

Soomaaliweyn is collectivly deeply rich with natural resources. Nothing per say "shameful" with livestock and agriculture, but Inshallah we diversify our economy with other industries soon. Another sanction/drought will just send us back further
