I wonder if this is real the stereotype is that darker skinned somalis have straighter hair than lighter skinned Somalis, who usually have harder hair.

Not true.

Having straight hair is not dependent on skin tone. The vast majority of Somali darkies have the kinky/Afro hair type which is also the average hair type for Somalis in general.

Nah somalis just black asf sxb. Skintone and hair textures have no correlation. I've seen dark with hard and light with soft.

its weird, my father is dark and has soft hair and my mom is light with hard hair
so everyone that inherits my moms traits is light with kinky hair and wide nose but im kind of a mix between my parents my hair is both soft and kinky its hard to explain
i dont think skintone has any correlation with it though

it did in our parents generation, but now we have an influx of j.areers that have muddied the waters
