Somaliweyn is not a dream, it's a reality. You cannot feed yourself since you don't have much fertile land, already having water problems in Hargeisa, no natural resources, no river, no industrialization whatsoever, insane corruption etc. Therefore, your people are ones who benefit the most from Somalia. 1) darod as a clan is the least wealthiest amongst Somalis - gedo, khatumo, jubbaland and Puntland are all economic wastelands so you will benefit from isaaq who are natural traders (bring in wealth)

2) darod is surrounded so you cant really start another war against Somalis

3)darod regions are wastelands- khatumo is always suffering the worst droughts, Puntland is barren so is gedo and in jubbaland the green areas are owned by non darods

but the weird thing is as soon as Somalis come together darod will be the first to work against other Somalis as we have seen in the past. darod is only nationalist if darod is president and that simply wont be accepted by others.


now what do isaaq have to gain

1) they will share their revenue with other Somalis (nothing wrong with that). an example is Somaliland gov budget is $360m while Somalia with more people has a budget of $270m (huge junk of it is donated too)

2) the most strategic place in the horn is Berbera will be shared (that was how the somali republics army was built in the 60s and 70s because major superpowers wanted to have bases there)

3) isaaq talent will benefit all Somalis. we know when it comes to academic and economic success no other clan comes near isaaq.
