Those two things are sadly mutually exclusive. We may kid ourselves till kingdom come, but there is nothing more Somali than being qabiilist.
Don't get me wrong there are true nabadoons and anti-qabiilist Somalis, but they are a minuscule minority. The man in my profile pic was one such man, and we should treasure them, but they are the exception and not the norm with us Somalis.

The vast majority of those that say they hate qabiilism, are typically the worst qabiilists in reality. Case in point, those who claim to champion "Somaliweyn" are invariably the most qabiilist cuqdad ridden of all the Somalis. It is a lot like how those that say that hate gossip are the biggest gossip merchants themselves.
