Did Giants Ever Exist? Why āScienceā Wishes They Didnāt
There are many authentic narrations about the formidable height of Prophet Adam (āalayhissalam) ā our common ancestor, to borrow an expression from the Darwinists.
For instance we read in
Sahih al-Bukhari 3326:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet (ļ·ŗ) said, āAllah created Adam, making him 60 cubits tall. When He created him, He said to him, āGo and greet that group of angels, and listen to their reply, for it will be your greeting (salutation) and the greeting (salutations of your offspring.ā So, Adam said (to the angels), As-Salamu Alaikum (i.e. Peace be upon you). The angels said, āAs-salamu Alaika wa Rahmatu-l-lahiā (i.e. Peace and Allahās Mercy be upon you). Thus the angels added to Adamās salutation the expression, āWa Rahmatu-l-lahi,ā Any person who will enter Paradise will resemble Adam (in appearance and figure). People have been decreasing in stature since Adamās creation.
Many other
sahih ahadith speak of his great height (around 30 meters) as well.
The Islamic tradition is not alone in mentioning gigantic creatures. The Bible speaks more than once of the āNephilim,ā a word which in fact itself means giant. In the first chapter of his book
Lost Race of the Giants, Patrick Chouinard demonstrates that the memory of giants is inscribed into our ācollective unconsciousnessā (as he puts it), giving examples from religions and mythologies as varying as those of the ancient Middle East; Scandinavia; Ireland; India; Mexico; China; or even the Fijian islands. The most well-known giants are probably the ātitansā of Greek mythology.

In her
Encyclopedia of Giants and Humanoids in Myth, Legend and Folklore, Theresa Bane enumerates more than 1,000 such gigantic creatures found within the worldās cultures and traditions.
These civilizations and communities are often celebrated in other areas, such as architecture. Surely they canāt all be so
universally wrong when it comes to the existence of gigantic beings.
But even if this belief in giants is universal (unlike, say, capitalism or feminism), the modern Westerner needs ātangible proofsā to believe in all of this due to his empiricist epistemology. And for that, the relevant field would be archaeology.

Archaeological Conspiracies?
Well, the āSmithsonian Institutionā ā which describes itself as āthe worldās largest museum, education, and research complexā
on its website ā might have done an āarchaeological cover-upā to hide these proofs.
This is actually what famed French author David Hatcher Childress writes in
Suppressed Inventions and Other Discoveries. This book consists of articles compiled by Jonathan Eisen, a biologist attached to UC Davis. So from a secular perspective at least, we have a ārespectableā academic within a ārespectableā institution.
Childress thus writes in pp 215-221:
The Vatican has been long accused of keeping artifacts and ancient books in their vast cellars, without allowing the outside world access to them. These secret treasures, often of a controversial historical or religious nature, are allegedly suppressed by the Catholic Church because they might damage the churchās credibility, or perhaps cast their official texts in doubt. Sadly, there is overwhelming evidence that something very similar is happening with the Smithsonian Institution.
The Smithsonian Institution was started in 1829 when an eccentric British millionaire, by the name of James Smithson, died and left $515,169 to create an institution āfor the increase and diffusion of knowledge among men.ā Unfortunately, there is evidence the Smithsonian has been more active in the suppression of knowledge⦠than the diffusion of it for the last hundred years. (ā¦)
The Smithsonian began to promote the idea that Native Americans, at that time being exterminated in the Indian wars, were descended from advanced civilizations and were worthy of respect and protection. They also began a program of suppressing any archaeological evidence that lent credence to the school of thought known as Diffusionism, a school which believes that throughout history there has been widespread dispersion of culture and civilization via contact by ship and major trade routes.
The Smithsonian opted for the opposite school, known as Isolationism. Isolationism holds that most civilizations are isolated from each other and that there has been very little contact between them, especially those that are separated by bodies of water. (ā¦)
When the contents of many ancient mounds and pyramids of the Midwest were examined it was shown that the history of the Mississippi River Valleys was that of an ancient and sophisticated culture that had been in contact with Europe and other areas. Not only that, the contents of many mounds revealed burials of huge men, sometimes seven or eight feet tall, in full armour with swords and sometimes huge treasures. (ā¦)
Though the idea of the Smithsonianās covering up a valuable archaeological find is difficult to accept for some, there is, sadly, a great deal of evidence to suggest that the Smithsonian Institution has knowingly covered up and ālostā important archaeological relics. (ā¦)
I believe that the discerning reader will see that if only a small part of the āSmithsoniangateā evidence is true then our most hallowed archaeological institution has been actively involved in suppressing evidence for advanced American cultures, evidence for ancient voyages of various cultures to North America, evidence for anomalistic giants and other oddball artifacts, and evidence that tends to disprove the official dogma that is now the history of North America.
We wonāt go into the details of what was ācovered up,ā which includes gigantic skeletons found in Alaska. But if the worldās most ārespectedā institution in such a field can bury evidences for its own ideological reasons, couldnāt it also be possible that the secular world hides other evidences too? Especially since the same secular world espouses Darwinism, which goes against the very idea of ancient giants.

When Darwinism wasnāt dominant, the West wasnāt that
shy about such matters. In the ā30s, before the āmodern synthesisā with scientists such as Ronald Fisher using population genetics to give Darwinism a new life, this ideology was actually moribund in the West. In fact, itās termed āthe eclipse of Darwinismā in academic literature. Thus we read in a
1934-article from the Daily News, a daily newspaper published in Australia:
Can you imagine a leading daily newspaper in the English-language reporting about giants being discovered in India today? And giving examples of giants found elsewhere as well?

Well have a look at this. This news item was mainly about India, writing for the Smithsonian Institutionās magazine. The author mentions āgiant jarsā discovered in India in April 2022.
She writes:
Who created the jars and what their exact purpose was remains unclear. But comparable vesselsāsome measuring up to 10 feet tall and 6.5 feet wideāhave previously been discovered in
Laos and Indonesia, reports Hannah Osborne for
Newsweek. Some of these giant jars contained
human remains, hinting at their use in burial rituals.
We may have an idea about what might be behind that āwho,ā but the modernist will have to wait till the archaeological conspiracies are over.
