Oromos and Somalis

I find it sort of depressing that Oromos are vastly larger in population and more diverse than Somalis are in culture, religion, history and DNA yet they love each other and will gladly add more people into their group while Somalis spew hatred and jealousy on one another over petty tribal differences and constantly murder and backstab each other. Oromos have us cooked in this regard NGL

Somalis occupy the largest landmass for a single ethnic group in Africa, yet their population is remarkably small compared to other ethnic groups and tribes on the continent.

Oromos are a vast population confined to a tiny landmass, so I understand their need for more space. If Somalis persist in being backward tribalists and remain disorganized, they might as well share their extra land with their neighbours, since they clearly can't manage it themselves.

Regardless of what they've done to their respective lands is a different discussion but my point still stands; we cannot look aside something as impressive as that with a significantly smaller population

Somali and Oromo are roughly the Same population but we have the largest landmass.

Oromo wasn't an identity say 2 centuries ago like Somali. The Muslims in Hararghe saw themselves as closer to Somalis and interacted with us more than an Oromo from Wollo who was more closer to Amhara.

Oromo as an ethnic identity only came about during the last century as ethno nationalism took over the horn.

You also claim they're more safer and wealthier? People are scared to drive between cities in fear they might be kidnapped or beheaded by the many rebel groups around or just local farmers. They're gdp per capita is many times smaller than us Djiboutians and I wouldn't call us wealthy so Oromo and other ethiopians are far from it.

The Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said:

[إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَبْعَثُ لِهَذِهِ الأُمَّةِ عَلَى رَأْسِ كُلِّ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ مَنْ يُجَدِّدُ لَهَا دِينَهَا – Allaah will raise for this Ummah at the end of every hundred years the one who will revive its religion for it].

“Allaah will raise for this Ummah”- meaning the Ummatul Ijaabah [i.e. the Muslims]. “At the end of every hundred years”- Meaning at the end of every hundred years when there is little knowledge of the Islamic legislation and the authentic Prophetic Tradition, whilst ignorance and religious innovation is rife. “One who will revive its religion for it”- Meaning a scholar who is alive and well known. He will clarify the authentic Prophetic Tradition and distinguish it from the religious innovations. knowledge will be abundant again and its adherents will be aided, and the proponents of religious will be overcome and degraded. This reviver is non else but a scholar who has sound understanding of the religious sciences that deal with acts of worship, the underlying wisdoms of the religion and the texts that deal with beliefs of the heart. (2)

Oromos are United by the fact they are disliked by other ethnic groups they share a country with. Siege mentality is a real thing and it’s why they work together.

When do you see Somalis in Kenya being qabilist to each other?
