I've seen multiple third - fourth generation kids in America who are Somali and it's sad. They are usually atheist, they refer to themselves as African American and they have completly lost their culture, language and ancestry. Some of them even think that their ancestors were slaves and they don't even know that they're Somali. We need to focus on deen within our community, keep our culture alive and help invest and develop Somalia so that our future generations and us can go back to our country when it's prospering.

Only ones from single parent households. They seem to be the vast majority who suffer from degeneracy and various other ills of society. Coming from a two parent household and Seeing how people live in Somalia and Ddsi saved me from degeneracy affecting kids in the West. It’s very humbling to see kids your age working labour intensive jobs just to get less than $2 a day. It is quite humbling.
