Apparently this Old Kingdom Egyptian has the highest Natufian-like sample so far. suppose that figure must’ve been even higher during the Predynastic period, since there were movements from the Levant into Egypt during that time when local Levantines couldn’t have been so heavily Natufian.

Rashaida Arabs from Sudan have it even higher than the Mahra of Yemen

It’s a bit odd to me that there’s also a total absence of Dinka-like ancestry in the old kingdom sample. It seems East Africans like us Somalis as well as the Nubians derive most of our West-Euroasian ancestry from these early Neolithic Egyptians and by mixing with Dinka-like people to the south developed our own unique Cushitic cluster.

So this pretty much settles the debate about the ancient Egyptians, they were dark skinned Eurasian peoples especially in the old kingdom, like these Rashaida Arabs, examples:

It seems like different ancestries flooded Egypt in the Middle Kingdom giving rise to different phenotypes with lower Egypt probably becoming lighter skinned and more similar to guys like Rami Malek

It’s also probable that upper Egypt always had some minority of Cushitic like Individuals (with ancestry from Ancient Kush) which increased during the new kingdom of Egypt.
