I use vitamin E serum oil. Both winter and summer, if I'm not using that I use a sweet almond oil. They're both great base for make up too. Makes your make up look flawless and they moisturise really well and don't make your face look shiny either.

I used to use Aurelia cell revitalising day cream. It's amazing but it's like £42/ $62 dollars. A bit on the expensive side but it's amazing.

Do you guys have Neals Yard Remedies? They have really nice creams for dry skin/winter and it smells like lavender and other herbs.

That's not true, people only say that because of black hawk down and the people playing hawiyes were bantus because they couldn't find Somali actors. Only some sub sub clans of Hawiye look bantu because they live amongst the bantus in South Somalia but my clan (HG) Live no where near bantus, we live in central Somalia and have therefore not intermixed with them therefore we are one of the purest cushetic Somalis and people only make the bantu joke to score points and as an insult, but there is no truth to it.

I also have a dry skin and after trying different products with unsatisfactory results, I came across a suggestion of Nivea Soft Refreshingly Soft Moisturizing Creme on the net. I am glad I found that site because that creme is the best I've ever used. Since then I have never used any other skin product and I've actually got 3 of them still unopened right now. I highly recommend it and here's a pic and a link of the creme:

Are you a guy?

Whatever you do, do not put this cheap cream on your face. It's okayish but it will break you out. It's too greasy and has chemicals.

I don't know if you're mistaking it for another creme but I have been using this for over a year now and it's better than all the other cremes I've tried in the past. And the main reason I like it is actually its softness. It is not greasy or thick at all.

Are you a guy? Most guys use this cream. But if you're a girl and you put things like powder, blusher, bronzer etc on then this is a no no. It does not work with make up and breaks you out. It's good on it's own though.

I see. Yes, I am a guy so maybe you're right then, it might not work with make-up. I use it by itself and I really like it a lot. I tried other cremes and most of them tend to be quite thick and oily whereas this is soft and easily absorbed by the skin. It smells nice too.

Coco butter or shea butter work wonderfully during the winter but it can get heavy during the summer so I switch to Clinique's face creams.

And there's also Aveeno's line for curing those rough dry patches you might get every now and then in the winter or if you've been in a super dry environment.

Cocoa butter is widely used in my house but recently I've start using garnier moisturiser and toner and it's doing wonders on my skin

I use pure organic coconut oil abaayo.

I would also recommend almond oil for hands and under-eyes. I also create my own moisturisers using organic products and essential oils. It doesn't have a long shelf life but at least you know what ingredients are inside it and it is far more effective quality wise.

Two of my girlfriends do this and it really does make a difference using natural raw ingredients. I'm not so enthusiastic about making it from scratch as they are, but I wanted to vouch that it works better than ones you get at stores.
