Somaliland didn't have a 200m increase but there was a drastic increase from 2010 to 2012.
This is because they started including aid as part of their budget like Puntland just did.

Berbera is a very small town, smaller than Qardho nowadays. Isaaq have 2 cities Hargeisa and Burco. Everything else is a small town.
More than half of all Isaaq live in Hargeisa and Burco. They were the first to create berkeds, starting in the 1940s, so their lands were overstocked and degraded before other clans. They have some farmers west of Hargeysa, but the land is very marginal for agriculture.
They are a clan that is concentrated on a relatively small territory, like the D&M, but their land is not as good as the D&M. This has led to very high rates of urbanization, Somaliland is basically Hargeisa at this point.
There is no 'trade link' either bro, it's purely local trading in SL. I don't see other towns or cities coming in the droves to Berbera port to supply their cities market place with goods needed to sell locally since Somalia 90% import economy, that is 'real trade' like the silk road trade of the roman empire and China, it's far beyond just 'one business' servicing one market place. Who uses Berbera Port beyond Ogaden Camels? SL is dead broke bro, there is no other explanation why their locals seek better life in other cities of Somalia.
I know BURCO-ERIGAVO-LASKA-BADHAN-BUHODLE all go to Bosaso to dock down their consumable in the market place. Does Awdal also? Cause there is no consumable trade happening in Berbera port. PL PORT has both the livestock-Consumables market. I heard Berbera is used to dock down things that are to 'large' for Bosaso, is there any truth in that? Besides 'large' items or 'containers'. I know some of our Omani Traders been banned recently by PL GOVT for using Berbera Port which is the real reason for the increase in SL originated trade taxes is that true and the SL petty trade excuse was merely an 'excuse'? I am not sure but that's just 'rumours' I heard. But officially the govt said it was to eliminate the low quality garbage from SL who is trying to expand it's markets in PL which is causing competition for our local traders to push prices down, I will accept that govt position. I don't really entertain conspiracies as facts
