I don't think anyone moved yet to gas Hargeisa I know was the first a few years ago then borama. Here in Burco its About 50/50
There was a real push a few years back to stop charcoal as it was creating more deserts.

In oodweyne they created protected reserves were cutting is prohibited and a few years ago Somaliland banned any cutting ofb trees in Sanaag but you're lot overharvest the frankincense that's what I heard from the community when I went on expidition to monitor and record the area
