Do you think slavery should be allowed in the ummah given that it was a normal part of Muslim societies just a century ago? Technically it's not Haram. it only became stigmatized when colonists forced their colonies to end the practice, and imitating gaalo is frowned upon in the Deen.
However I've also seen some Muslims claim Islam attempted to reduce slavery. I can see this viewpoint being legitimate with the freeing of Bilal RA as an example but wasn't he only freed after converting to Islam? What about Mon Muslims? Should they be allowed to be enslaved just for not believing in Islam? seems morally very wrong.
