It is completely unacceptable for eggs to be imported into Somalia.

Somali farms are the least efficient in Africa.

During the Kacaan, Bananas exported to Italy where subsidized as an import and costed 3X the price of Caribbean bananas.

The Italians had a problem with teaching Somalis who to be effecient.

Poultry are the most susceptible to diseases followed by cows, then goats and camels are the most resilient.

No poultry farming should happen until we have an adequate health system in place.

In Norway, if the farm gets its disease. They will have to kill the animals infected and close of whole the area by cleansing everything.

Western countries could afford to keep up with those hygiene standards because they are able to keep the costs down through economies of scale.

If only the government provides incentives for poultry farmers who get regularly audited (marketing support, tax etc).

Basic things like eggs are at the foundations of food processing industries and not just for breakfast.

I agree, but it seems like us Somalis are stuck in a rock and a hard place when it comes to livestock production due to recurring droughts and population growth (which our dry land cannot sustain).
