This was embarrassing, after shouting we will take over Mogadishu the militia were arrested and disarmed.

None of these politicians have the well-being of shacabka at heart. This little protest conducted by his wealthy party members was pathetic. Where were they even marching to? It's heartbreaking to see these greedy old men use Mogadishu as their playground, with no consideration of the businesses and homes the people worked so hard to rebuild.
A new capital not too far away from Mogadishu must be made (like New York/Washington or Abu Dhabi/Dubai). Neutral city to represent all Somalis fairly.

Looking weak is never a good PR for a politician who wants to rule his country. What is there to gain from his running and tripping over others? Was anybody injured and killed in the fracas?
There were protests in the world where demonstrators stood their ground in the hail of bullets hitting and killing them. They were people who were run over by tanks because they didn't run away.
I wager Khaire would run all the way to Norway in such situation.

Honestly I don't see an easy way to resolve this situation. The farce of indirect elections is unbearable. At the same time, there are a bunch of washed-up candidates each pushing separate agenda. If anything this situation is of international importance. The Libyan scenario is being played out on a smaller scale in Somalia. We have candidates pushing overlapping Muslim Brotherhood, Gulf, Turkish, European and American interests.
I doubt the opposition would do something extreme as the US/EU and Turkey have invested too much of political capital to allow the collapse. I hope the two geopolitical sides will come to a consensus and force political compromise on the ground.
Among the rooster of candidates we have I am not seeing anybody who could replace Farmaajo at this moment.
Is there any worthy politician within the current administration that can be agreed upon by all sides to take over the presidency till 1p1v is implemented?
