Walahi Puntland has the best fighting force in Somalia and I'm sure many other places. mountaineous areas are very difficult to fight in and it usually takes years, forget months. But they handled this in a very short period of time.

They probably believe the Ethiopian forces are stronger than anything in Somalia. Shabaab attacked DDS a few years back and were annihilated very quickly by mainly liyuu. Probably also looking for a place to set up permanent operations and a Muslim country makes more sense for that.

I really like their uniform design. It matches the environment. I hate how Somalis use the green colored uniform designed for forest or jungle environments which doesn't camouflage them.
