PL raw materials and abundance of rocks could be a huge industry for us if we just collected, processed, and stored in warehouses and supplied our own market construction needs, regional needs, continental and global. The raw materials in PL are higher grade and more durable then other construction material worldwide. Rocks are graded also just like oil is in its construction value.

We are truly a blessed region with all ranges of minerals in our soil which isn't possible for the south or any fertile land.

I laugh when ppl insult our rocky land like all clans laugh at abgaal stupidity, it could be what turns us into a Somali Khaleej. We can save Somalis buying recycled and excess leftover raw materials in construction from overseas, they can use made in PL and higher grade raw material because all African resources are usually the benchmark for all resources globally.

What kind of sand is this and where did they get it from?

It's not the beach sand but the excess rocks in our rocky terrain, their onsite mobile machinery processed it. Trust me rocks have a grading system when it's mixed with other raw materials to create an abundance range of products. Even steel is made from iron ore in rocks.

Imagine we supply this to construction companies worldwide selling it's high grade level to other lesser raw materials around the world. All natural resources are not equal due to nature, climate, and ages of continents. Africa is the benchmark

You probably mean using a specific type of stone, limestone or sand, to supply and facilitate the creation of concrete, which needs cement, crushed rocks, sand, and a water mix to form.

Cement needs limestone and whole bunch of other naturally occuring minerals in the ground, which are heated to a temperature that bonds the two and fuses them together, creating a product.

There is a concrete shortage, so jumping into this is a good move to conquer market share and generate revenue. However, that shortage is not specifically found in the world supply of limestone but in sand. Specific sand good for concrete isn't desert sand but actually riverbed sand. You can crush rocks into sand for concrete production, but that creates issues.

The problem with man-made sand compared to naturally occurring river sand. Concrete producers prefer river sand as it uses less water to produce similair strength concrete, and is time tested, better water resistance and often cheaper. Man-made sand takes more water and more cement to produce the same strengths and has more disruptive fine particles. Man-made sand does have quite a lot of upsides, especially with its more consistent quality compared to the regional influence on river sand.

While a major outcrop of limestone is in Puntland, a lot of it is found in SWS and SL. Limestone is a very abundant mineral and is found wherever the sea and shore meet land. It does not have the scarcity of gold or regional monopoly like oil.

Investing in this area will lead to job creation and economic growth, although it is far from being a golden bullet like a deposit of lithium or natural gas would have been.

Somalis have an abundance of golden bullets, they’re simply not using their golden revolver (Somalia);
