Is it going to be a proper election where people from where will vote or a "Parliamentary" appointment.
PuntlandSO for its own propriety should just accept Somaliland boundary and start to build relations rather then chasing tribal boundaries. If they did somalilands NEC might help em out
@Cognitivedissonance and @Reiko already vacated the 2019 bid of cismaan in favour of the general. They will get the seat back to back in 2024 and 2029 Inshallah.

Puntland must elect a leader that will actually bring development. Someone who will build roads and will end corruption. I also hope that they cancel the PO port deal because it feels extremely corrupt.

This is why Somalia will fail. We don't need leaders from specific clans,. We need the best leader to make Puntland a better state.
Puntland has become better than ever when we keep the big 3 appeased
Puntland is less successful than Somaliland and Mogadishu that's been at war. Puntland may have a better GDP per capita than those places but that doesn't make us successful. A great leader could've made Bosaso or Garowe look like Kigali or Nairobi. Thomas Sankara showed Africa what a serious leader that wants the best for his people can do. Puntland the way it is today will continue to move like a snail until we decide that it's time to throw away corruption and elect the best people for the job.

When we have one man one vote then yes but right now puntland isnt ready for one man one vote if it is indeed possible then no one would have a problem with whoever the public voted for regardless of his clan.
