@Pwyneth Galtrow I want to see our health sector go under the same training, certification, and testing like our teachers. All pharmacies, health posts, MCH, and general hospitals should also come under strict regulations and regular routine inspections.

Absolutely, Health should be the first place the Government tackles, fraudulent and incompetent medical workers can spread very serious diseases like HIV, just from doing something like not cleaning dental tools properly or reusing needles etc.

I don't trust these foreign doctors either, who certified them? How do they know who is legit or a fraud?

Jecliyaa our education system. Mudane Shuuke left a tremendous legacy

Certification is important. I’d like to see certified skilled trades as well. Somalis have no concept of certification, you’ll see nurses being called doctors.

@Abdalla PL is in dire need of another Shuuke and Juxa in the health space. PL is terribly lagging behind in this area when compared to Mogadishu. We don't have many specialist facilities and go abroad for any complex type of treatment. Hamar is booming in specialist facilities due to the turks investment.

We r doing well in rolling out MCH rurally to combat our infant mortality rate. But we need a messiah to come into Health sector, we need huge investments to create specialist facilities and we need to expand greatly our general hospitals into rural areas so they don't need to come to Garowe-Qardho-Galkacyo-Bosaso just to see a general doctor.

General doctors are in nearly every 'xaafaad' of Australia, it's not a complex area of medicine. We are doing ok also in mid-wifery and nursing capacity but that's where it ends. In the specialist medicine area or surgery, we are lagging behind.

Agree completely we haven't seen much development ever since they were in change we even failed setting up Covid zones IC gave huge sums to implement. Its embarrassing consider the level we had back then!
