Qabri Dahar civilians killed by Ethiopian soldier

A soldier from the Ethiopian national army, stationed in Qabri Dahar, decided this morning to leave his barrack/base and proceed with opening fire on civilians for no reason. The coward then apparently 'took his own life'.

At least a dozen of casualties, of which 5 fatalities reported thus far. The wounded shacabs are in critical conditions. The deceased people included a woman and 4 men. One of the men was the gudoomiye of a sub-district in Qabri Dahar, Maxamud Xaaji dayib

Here're some of the victims whose life were cut short.

It was less than two months ago when the last 'incident' occurred in Qabri Dahar by the very same military stationed there, but no appropriate actions have been done to prevent a similar, or a worse fate, to put it correctly.

As I've said before, regardless of what changes regional forces undergoes and what type of uniform they decide replace with; shisheeye forces should not be present in the Somali region. Never.

Also, why are the army even in Qabri Dahar? A local police unit should suffice, since it's not a border town nor have any threats in the city/district justifying it :francis:

So much suspicions with this cold-blooded act. From the way it happened to the way the reg'l gov't briefed the public. This video below bring up valid questions that are being downplayed or ignored.

Aun. Very scary seems like terrorist attack to breed fear would be curious on soldiers background and ethnicity

Can't confirm, but from what heard that it was a 'Xabeshi'.

These soldiers oftentimes don't face repercussions regardless of what wrongdoings they engage in. There must some patterns here considering how these 'incidents' between the army and local civilians have occurred monthly now, ever since the announcement of Liyuu being dissolved.

ENDF wants to exert their dominance over the locals because they don't see them as loyal Ethiopian citizens. this isn't some kind of grand conspiracy.

It's very obvious that Somalis are the least 'Ethiopians' of all ethnic groups in the country, identity-wise. Ethiopia, with the current gov't at the forefront, want to establish a nation state despite being far from homogeneous in all aspects. Given their past, not just Somalis but others are hesitant towards the state as well.

This ambition will only end up backfiring on them. It will only work when they come to realization that Somalis at best have settled with creating something of their own through their own regional state.

So they've blockaded people from their own farms and accessing roads inside Somalia, what's next? I wanted to write 'violated Somalia's sovereignty', but it's already been breached long time ago :damn:

It's the very same Ethiopians that are supposed to participate in the war against AS in the 10s of thousands. What's the gov'ts plan to make sure that Ethiopia doesn't overstay their welcome once the war is done?

I'm sure they'd want something in return. Just like Eritrea aiding in the Tigray war have emboldened them. Now, they've refused to leave.

What a shitty and compromised position Somalia is in right now :snoop:

As far as I aware, they'll want something in return. Just like Eritrea aiding in the Tigray war have emboldened them. Now, they've refuse to leave.

This wasn’t part of the plan! What’s next they claim cabudwaq is Ethiopia?
