Well lets hope reer Mogadishu use it wisely to improve their city and not stolen by some
politician.
They can't steal it cause the money is going to Turkish contractors to fulfil Mogadishu projects otherwise that money would be stolen in a hot minute

The highest ranking Waqooyi politicians in the south are GX already (the head of courts and the deputy PM). However they need to get projects for their ancestral regions not just for their calool.

I still remember how bad the less than 25 km road to afgooye was this summer. A trip that should had taken less than 15-20 minutes took over 2 hours. I believe the last time that road had proper maintenance was during the middle of the 1980

The road must be bad indeed since Afgooye is just the outskirts of Mogadishu and yet the road to there needs to be built.
I guess that’s what happens when you have a civil war for over 25 years
Why are they making the wrong choices with regards to on what they spend the money? Building government buildings is not worth 200 million. Even the Afgoye-Mogadishu road is economically meaningless. We would spend it on the right things, alla yaa lacagtaa Puntland geeya

Afgooye is actually very important. I read somewhere the Afgooye checkpoint tax before you enter Mogadishu makes around $100,000 a day. However Jowhar is not as important.

I beg to differ (sorry my macalin in FKD) Abdalla. The afgooye road transports over 1,5-2 million dollars in goods every day to Xamar. Repairing and improving the road can greatly increase the amount of goods and the reduced time to reach xamar.
