I haven't mastered it but I know people who did dhaqan celis and memorised it completely within a year.

Finished it within 2 years but I gained nothing and forgot it all.

Memorizing a holy book is very stupid, we are not recording device.

How is it stupid when a hafiz can intercede for 10 family members to enter jannah?

No point "mastering" in a language you don't understand.

I memorized like half of it but haven't read it since I was like 15/16 so forgot most of it.

The Hadeeth that says Hafiz will intercede for 10 of his family members is weak (Da'if) and was narrated by Imam Tirmidi.

It's certain that pious Muslims will intercede for their beloved ones in judgment day with Allah's permission but the number of intercessions allowed for them is not proven in Hadeeth or the Qur'an.
