Yes but you're not the only one it's forIs this for me?
I will watch it regardless.
I'd rather not post this out of respect for the dead but every Somali must watch this documentary.
Whether you were for or against the Barre regime this part of Somali history cannot be ignored.
"That guy" was Gen. Ahmed Warsame Mohamed, the man in charge of the bombardment of Hargeisa. It wasn't just rhetoric but they were orders to his subordinates. That video clip about with the guy saying kill everything other than the crows is worrisome but it is still not enough to shake my belief.
How were they targeting SNM positions when they said themselves that they positioned the artillery at maximum range. Did you see all those shell casings were there beside the artillery? Doesn't look like they were going for precision.Video footage of the SNA conducting artillery strikes is completely useless given they were targeting SNM positions in an attempt to recapture territory.
Didn't you see the footage near the end of truck loads of bones being dumped to be reburied? How many dead people filled those dump trucks?I am believe the bombings do constitute an atrocity since the loss of life was mostly civillian, however I will not entertain the suggestion of Isaaq genocide until I see concrete proof. Until I see the unearthing of mass graves and DNA testing, or a proper historical resource I will never believe it. I will keep an eye open for some proof that suggests this is true.
His name is Yusuf Abdi Ali aka Colonel Tukeh. Google his name if you want more info.I heard about that the guy col. that burned the guy to death and posed for a photo. Can anyone tell me more about that guy?
The documentary was made by Dr. Hussein Bulhan. I don't know this Safia Aidid you're talking about. This documentary is biased and made by Ethiopian woman Safia Aidid, I used term Ethiopian because safe preferred Ethiopian identity than Somali.

The artillery thing you said is nonsense. They were bombing SNM positions for two months until they were destroyed.
I didn't see any bones or dump trucks. I started skipping when the old lady started recounting her story @~25mins.

Why are you even believing what she's saying? Look at the credits for god sake.Who would have figured? I assumed it was made by an Isaaq.
There is an aljazeera documentary. Some of the claims they made in that production were beyond outrageous. They uncovered a mass grave in that documentary, I wondered if they belonged to Isaaq civillians or whether they belonged to the people murdered by the SNM in 1988 before the bombings. Or if they belonged to Dhulbahantes from 1991. I would like to see if they conduct DNA tests and what the results may be.
I heard of a mass killing done by the Barre admin in 1978 after the war. All military officers, do you know about that or where it took place?
Why are you even believing what she's saying? Look at the credits for god sake.
The mass grave was in the town of Arabsiyo between Hargeisa and Gabiley. It's an entirely Isaaq village.
That's the Aljazeera doc. The one I posted is different.@merka @HashiBarre she co produced the documentary
