I reckon in a not popular part of xamar you can get it for around $200k and rent out for $300 a month.

In Xamar, that’s the average monthly income. So 100% of the money goes towards rent. What about food, and other basic necessities?

Well if that’s the average than 50% of xamar residents will make more than $300. Anyway, there are many factors involved. Majority of homes will be multiple occupancy, so it will be many people sharing the rent. Similar to london, every room is rented separately. Also large number of xamar residents don’t live in constructed buildings but makeshift homes, a lot of these are rent free. There’s also diaspora, ngo’s, civil servants driving up prices. Another group lives off generous remittance.

What about a triplex? Something with a lot of rooms but not too big. If i’m constructing it personally, I can do it pretty cheaply?
