Fighting over some lines drawn in the sand by some colonialist during their drug fuelled booze party to celebrate their loot, then they wonder why the curse still afflicts them.

There was this common joke in Somalia were two reer-baadiyo man fought over a hypothetical question a random man asked both regarding "what they would do if they found 1 million", one said he would share 50/50, while the other said he would share only 30 and keep the 70 to himself

This resulted in a heavy fight between both and others got involved very quickly, it grew bigger and bigger until some wise elders intervened to mediate, they were collectively asked "were is this million you are fighting over" ? when one of them said it's 'hypothetical' everyone in the room felt ashamed.

As dumb as those people were they are in fact smarter then the ones on here, you can argue they fought over moral 'justice' and are reer baadiyo but you can't make no such arguments for those supposed enlightened ones fighting over borders drawn by colonialist that exploited them whom have left a long time ago, pure qashin foqol qashin.

Does that mean Somalia's borders are invalid, because...you know...it was drawn up by colonialists?

First and foremost I am for Somaliweyne but since we are on this topic let me ask you this, when the colonialist carved up Italian Somaliland and British Somaliland respectively as separate entities (whilst giving away NFD/Somali Galbeed)

Was it the Somalis themselves that were responsible for the union of both entities that later became 'Somalia' or was it enacted/enforced by the colonialist themselves?

If you argue that the colonialist were responsible for this union than by default all the secessionist claims regarding independence go out of the door and your statement becomes valid.

However If you argue the colonialist were not responsible for the union this totally negates the colonial sand drawing demarcations they set up to further separate Somalis which the Somali's had gone against in those regions.

I was following you up until here. I don't understand the logic of that paragraph. Why would British Somaliland joining Italian Somaliland negate colonial borders?
