Seems like Puntland is following the same path as Laascaanood and Somaliland. Just before Reer SWS were deported from Somaliland and Laascaanood there were businessmen that were complaining about the "RRA" and saying they have taken over the small business in the region and there is no space for the natives.

However I think better of the leaders of Puntland and believe they are more forward thinking then Somaliland when it comes to this issue. Hopefully this issue can be resolved in a better way then the catestrophic event that took place in Laascaanood by the Somaliland administration in 2021 where they accused innocent Raxanweyn civilians of being AS and therefore mass deported them. I don't think Reer Puntland and their leadership would act in that disgusting way.

But if anyone who is more well informed can tell me why this issue is reoccurring in Somalia. This isnt the first time people have complained about Reer SWS dominating the markets and small businesses in regions like somaliland, Galmudug and Puntland.

Is it just xaasidnimo that Reer SWS are just better businessmen then others or are they actually doing something wrong.

Because all I see is that these Reer SWS saw a gap in the market that these other regions when it comes to small businesses and they came in and profitted from it. Now the natives are just unhappy they are taking over that sector. But they done it fair and square.

Seems like the woman is complaining about the SWS fellows undercutting the competition, and yes they are prone to that but it’s nothing a little bit of regulation from the ministry of commerce can’t solve.

I will tell reer nugaaleed which is my region this rahanwayne business people is a good thing, it exerts pressures and will result in forcing innovative thinking upon puntites to advance from petty bagaash trade shop front and develop other businesses with more skills involved.

I see this as a guul what about you puntitequeen we need to migrate away from these shopfronts from 100 years ago like whites did for foreigners in their countries. I'm sure this will pressure puntites into more skilled business models.

We need to beat Somalia by doing businesses that require high skills which they don't have and let them remain in outdated century old professions. As president of Puntland I would send fact finding mission to find out what Somalis and Africans import from overseas and set up those businesses in PL, it will be our own market space

Puntitequeen I'm shocked sometimes at Puntland they don't do business the right way, in real business U need competitive edge which means diversify not copy as that means competition or repeat ancient business models.

U need to fill gaps, create new spaces for our people to serve with as least amount competition or identify areas of supply chain. You do this by seeing every country and within your country baahi by seeing what they Import and U then go home and educate your investors to address those gaps in your homeland.

I can't wait till these infrastructure project era ends and real market development politics begins between our parties as they present their industrial park plans, telling us what items value they are, market space to serve, how many more puntites will be employed. But no we need to waste time in federal baan raba Iyo ma rabno politics with Hamar who is holding us back.

A good guest always knows when they've over stayed their welcome. It's just human nature to oppose large hordes of invaders moving into your region. A few business people is ok, but IDP camps everywhere in PL is madness.

Yes, Oromo should be first in land to get deported. But I want reer kunfur to also go. At least most of them. We don't share same culture and language/dialect with them.
