the strides made in puntland allow the federal region to pump out Somali graduates of a respectable calibre.The economic stability within the region also inadvertently should cause a lot of rural Somalis to become settled within cities.This means more children sent to school , more educated people and hence a higher chance of discovering exceptional geniuses.The impact they will have in rebuilding Somalia will be great as they will be educated within Somalia and thus have a more refined vision compared to diaspora.I believe by at least 2030 we should see a extremely mature government in puntland made up of locals.

This is my prediction.

That doesn't counter my argument.Drought occurs throughout Somalia an educated populace will overcome challenges.If anything those who persevere in barren deserts are more versatile than those in lofty gardens that mimick Eden.

1. Drought in the north is alot worse
2. They struggling right now and just ran away from a place where they collected 1/3 of there tax income
3. Lives stocks is where the money comes from not schools
In somalia education is worthless you get government positions by ties no jobs exist which is the main reason
Why alot of educated ones are drowning in the sea
The only thing keeping them afloat is combination of aid money and what's
Left of the lives stocks neither which are reliable going forward
Few more droughts and bootylanders might have to start selling booty to survive

Our friend the OP is very innocent, he doesn't know that Puntland has shot itself in the foot with the creation of federalism, Galmudug and Somaliland has rendered Puntland to be useless with its ever shrinking borders.

Puntland had a chance to rule Somalia through South Somalia, Somaliland and Puntland Tri-Pact deal, bet unfortunately they persisted with federalism.

I would say that Somaliland and Galmudug (rising star state) are going to be the kingmakers in political Somalia, Puntland is dying and i say that with no ill intention toward it just facts.

Galmudug is really underdeveloped, it goes through periodic mass starvation with no real intervention.The politics are rudimentary and just recently there a new town added into the administration.Former unelected Sufi terrorists combined with the previous administration run the system.By the time it reaches puntland a level , the latter would've further grown.What was the last major building / social service carried out in galmudug again?? Exactly.
Somaliland wants secession so they most likely won't impact Somalia politics in the current landscape.

1 would be in the same state if not for Ethiopia needing them for port galmudug same problem but has the factor that a hawiye will more than likely dominate the central government which I believe in return they will divert money into these areas

According to the same poverty survey, Puntland has 10% lower poverty rates than Ethiopia and Kenya as well.
