You see am not really that fluent in somali but he mentioned a guy that was sacad hawiye who was that guy? And when did the guy buried there die?
Nooo you mean to tell me that you speak better english than somali. Nah just playing don't minded. The shiekh is called sheikh yusuf ibn imama. The guy in the video is his eight-th descendent. He came from harar and travelled to mogadishu and bandar abaas which i think is bossaso.

From his maternal line he is descendent from sheikh abdal. This sheikh might actually be the same sheikh that is venerated in harar. There are two other shiekh that are venerated in harar of somali origin and they're yusuf barkhadle and another who is karanle hawiya. This sheikh abdal is said to be from sacad hawiya. I think he said that from his paternal line he is descended from abba younis who was one of the student of sheikh barkhadle. Interesting history.

Here is sheikh abdal in harar. I don't know if it's the same sheikh but it's likely.

Here is the other somali hawiya which i think i read in another book i can't recall which it was that he had the nisba al-karanle.

Surprisingly even abdurahaman ibn ismail al-jabarti the patriarch of darod is also venerated in harar.

The site was a shrine for a phallic cult before it was repurposed to become Aw Barkhadles tomb. Assuming the legend to be true he was a monotheistic absolutist, the relics are pre-islamic so in following that assumption are not his. They serve in steering people back into the beliefs which he dismantled.

The fertility stick would be the wagar. It is not unique to Somalia but more broadly East Africa as a whole. This practice still exists and is common place, especially amongst the swahili peoples.
