The Somali language used to be way different then the language we speak now :cosbyhmm:

our current language is mixed with arabic, italian and english words
For arabic isnt that common sense since we both are afro asiatic langauge and share some words for,

the think that mind boggles me is that ancient egyptians used to travel somewhere called land of punt (land of the gods, because its were their ancestral land)

It was said it could be north somalia due myrrh and other important things that egyptians had to get to please their god in better way, but more imortanly How did they understand each other? Did they speak same langauge?

I need answers men :francis:

I’m pretty sure a few Somalis branched off to egypt and settled their, but we weren’t the original egyptians. Egyptians have the longest history imo

We can't revieve it our people were oral. We don't have ancient scripts
Actually we have some old scripts that date back to medieval world but it was in osmansya script cuz we didnt use latin then

if we only preserved our culture and wrote like our neighbours ethiopia we would be lucky :dead:

Of course egypt is renowned for longest running civilisation in the world 3-4 whole thousands years old just imagine that

roman empire which was 2 thousands ago talked about ancient egyptians history for them it was ancient like roman empire is ancient for us today

yeah Af Maay Maay is the closest thing we have to the original Somali language we spoke
Wait What is af maay a real somali langauge u sure its not bantu langauge? Plus Why does most somali ppl speak maxa tiri dialect if af maay is the original one?

Exactly. Somalis are generally a newer ethnicity so we are not the original egyptians lmao

If you want old Somali read poems particularly older ones.

If you want to revive an old script you will have to find many use cases of it and analyze them all.

I don't believe this. There has barely been any work on archaeology in Somalia. Think about it, how can there have been old civilisations like Punt and Macrobia which were said to have been advanced have no scripts? I think they're just yet to be discovered

Maybe the whole city got sunk by the sea like ancient city in north or its under barren sand

That's because you're a self hating twit, darling. Who else could it have possibly been? The name Macrobia comes from the greek word "Macro" in reference to their great height. Who else around the Erythraean sea (now called Indian ocean) is known for being tall? Ethiopians/Eritreans? Yemenis? Perhaps Indians? :drakekidding: :drakekidding: :drakekidding:
