Sudan set itself generations back. Destruction of this level at this point in time while the rest of the world is taking strides to develop. Even Somalia is taking baby steps to develop. Looting precious history I'm reminded of this

They’re baggara nomads from Darfur and Chad, they have no conceptualisation of or connection to the Nubians of old or the civilisations before them like the riverine northern Sudanese. Hence why they don’t see any problem with looting or destroying these artefacts.
