Rumour: Puntland had Abdikarim Hussein Guled's wife sacked

One of the Galmudug President's wives, who happens to be Somalia's now former ambassador to Iraq was sacked as part of the recent 4.5 agreement, according to waagacusub.

The demand was made by Puntland's president, Gaas, and PM Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmake after she was seen making deal with Iraqis and welcoming them to invest in a potential Hobyo port, something which would have proven to be a disaster for Bosaso's port revenue and trade traffic.

Nevertheless, Hassan Sheikh yielded to the request and replaced the ambassador with Abdullahi Sheikh Mohamed, Somalia's former ambassador to Rwanda.

She's been sitting on the position for a while, and the timing of this change doesn't seem coincidental. This looks more bad on Guled than it does on her though lol

I just thought it was an interesting play of politics. Obviously she was being used by Guled and was an easy target.

She was good-looking though. I wouldn't mind seeing more young women enter politics especially in education and other institutional affairs
