Russia has already warned of the consequences if such an event should take place. Although I think the Ukrainian war is serving for an ideal distraction, as russia in it's current state cannot fight multiple wars on different fronts.

Following the wave of criticism in Israel, Mr Zelenskiy posted a video online on Sunday night in which he said Mr Bennett had made a major effort to mediate between Moscow and Kyiv, and that he was grateful for that. He also suggested that Jerusalem was the right place for peace talks between Ukraine and Russia.

He went on to say that he understood that Israel had interests of its own and a strategy to protect its own citizens

I'm not going to lie the current situation of this war is looking kind of messy. The attempted capture of Kyiv was half-hearted on the Russian's part it would seem. I don't think this war is going to end any time soon, I think both sides are preparing for a long protracted conflict now.

All of this makes it harder to predict who might ultimately benefit in the end.

It's now important for russia to capture the whole of Donbass plus odessa. Then fortify themselves there. If Ukrainians the even attempt to take over they will be destroyed. Russia will from then onwards be in a defensive position which will heavily favour them.

They can then start proper negotiations or they continue bombing kiev. Russia also needs to invest in drone technology if they want to win this war.

Russia make use of ISKANDER while Ukraine use TOCHKA-U. The Tochka-U is EXCLUSIVELY used and fielded by the Ukrainian Military. The missiles used is from the Ukrainian land force. The first picture is from the scene of attack while the second is the difference between the Ukrainian Tochka-U missile and the Russian ISKANDER. The Tochka-U missile used was tipped with cluster munitions, reason for the high civilian's death

Russia also has these missiles in their arsenal.

Also logically, it would make sense for Russia to use missiles associated with Ukraine to pin the blame on them.
